This place was ok. It is owned by Stallard and Assoc, who care more about the rent than anything else, then again, what landlord doesn't?

There is a very creepy maintenance man named Jerry, who I would rate as bad as Norman Bates, but the rest of the maintenece guys are great. Twice when this maintenance man had been in my apartment while I wasn't, my cat had a large scab appear on his face. I requested that he not be in my apartment at any time, whether I was there or not, but this request was only paid attention to for a little while.

They recently installed central air, which is nice....BUT.. it led to a very ugly tube thing in the living room, and closet space is very minimal since the heat/ac unit takes up one whole closet.

It is a shame that the owners don't seem to care about preserving this elegant older building in a classy way.The laundry room in the basement has only three washers and dryers, and is not as clean as it could be. The back door is mising a glass panel, and has been for three years. Instead of replacing it, a board was fitted in the space. Adequate for keeping the homeless out, but certainly not attractive. Also, a new parking lot on the southside of the building promises lots of noise to come. It used to be a pretty little courtyard with mature trees, but Stallard thinks more of $$$ than nature, apparently.

The front doors can be pushed open, they are loose enough that a key is not a necessity, although that has not been too big of a problem, there have been some strange people who get in that way.Overall, not bad, but regular rent increases and indifferent owners give it a very negative feel.
