Apartment Review
Not a good place to call home
Review Date: 8/22/2009 Reviewer: Anonymous
I have heard gun shots at night. They have sex offenders living in the community. They also have an incompetent leasing agent. They invade your privacy (and have the right to do it by your lease). It has gone so far downhill sense I have moved here. The pool chemicals are always off. I unfortunately signed a new lease due to the fact I did not have enough money to move right then and there. They also send out a reminder that you need to sign your new lease short of 30 days so if you do not remember then you are short as well. And if you do not sign one they tack on $100 a month to your rent. Oh and let me tell you this “alarm system” is hooked up a way where all it will do (if even this) is beep if your door opens. You are unable to connect it to the monitoring facility. And there for a while we had issues with maintenance coming into apartments without cause or announcing himself. They dictate what you can and can not move in with. I hate it here and can not wait to move. They also talk about residents behind their back. Here and there you do see roaches as well. If you refuse to let them in they can fine you up to 3 times your rent amount. And when they want to snoop in your apartment they come in to check smoke detector, change furnace filter, or anything petty like that. They should be working on other things then just snooping in your apartment. They also write letters and say that they gave them to you and never do. But, yet they are in your file as if you had received them. They also fine you if they do not feel your “porch/balcony” is not clean enough. They have no specific guidelines on what they feel is clean enough. Oh and that fine was posted to be $50. Kids under 17 are supposed to be watched at all times outside. That does not happen. When things happen all they tell you to do is call the police. But, I guess it is who you are buddy with. I would tell you more but I fear retaliation by them. I am NOT being evicted or behind on my rent so this is NOT wrote because of that. I also do still live here (for now). |
