Apartment Review
You get what you pay for.

Several issues on old, outdated workmanship. Same mentality of old, patch it until it can't be patched anymore. A/C needed servicing twice/year. Maintenance gave very little notice as to when they would be shutting off services or entering to inspect the apartment, sometimes less than 12 hours when not called. Then don't get me started on the water. NINE times in 10 months the water was either way too hot (170F) or not hot at all. This was a problem with the whole building. They discourage communication with neighbors for nuisances, well, the majority of the neighbors don't even want to talk to you, or say hello. It wasn't until we moved out that I finally did find out from several other tenants that they had all had the same type of year that we did with the water. Periodically we would receive notes from the office at our door announcing another break-in at the apartments. These were usually on the first floor unites where, my guess is, people forget to lock their sliding glass doors. Keep that in mind if you move here. You get what you pay for. These apartments are very large and spacious, but haven't been updated since the 70's. This is all reflected in the price. You're not going to find more square footage for your dollar. If you can put up with a rigorous maintenance calling schedule, you should enjoy the joint. |
