Apartment Review for Deercross Apartments - Indianapolis, IN

I was very excited about these apartments when I first moved in; however, it was very short lived. I had maintanence problems that tooks months to even be looked at and some,such as plumbing issues they keep insisting are fixed but never are. The residents are responible for paying all utilies here, including water and sewage. They'll try telling you when you move in thatits usually only about $8; however, I've never had a bill less than $15 (and I live by myself so I can't imagine I use that much water). I also had a problem with a late rent payment. Although I can pass advanced college calculus, I can't balance a check book and I had a check returned. For some reason I didn't get a notice form my bank and it took the apt. office almost two weeks to get notice to me. This created quite a problem because of their late fees- $75 plus $10 additional for everyday its late. So in the end I had to pay a $50 returned check fee, a $75 late fee plus two weeks worth of $10 fees (they also charge the $10 for days that the office isn't open even though it would be impossible to make a payment on that day). I can only tell you that I am looking foward to moving out when my lease is up.
