Apartment Review
Esthetically nice

I stayed here for 11 months. It is an attractive place from the exterior, and the area is safe, such that I had no fear walking my dog, even late at night. Area is nice, with all the major stores one major street south. Parking is ample. My apartment was nice, but the more I lived there, the more I found things that looked as if they could of did a better job with quality. Summers are nice, winters are not. Poor maintenence in winter times, with ice patches where several people I spoke to would fall, but even with complaints by several, there still was a lack of salting. Room temperatures in winter is difficult, either too hot or too cold, and even with a new thermostat that I had replaced, couldn't get a temperature I was comfortable with. Noise level is satisfactory, a little, but you should expect some. Office staff was friendly, but forgetful (asked for a couple things done that never got accomplished because office staff forgot), and kiss your deposit goodbye. I only stayed there 3 days a week with a dog that was crated when I wasn't there, plus I had the apartment professionally cleaned before I left, and they still nitpicked the deposit, even though the apartment looked spotless. They charge you $400 pet deposit ($200 non-refundable), but they only deduct any pet damages from the refundable portion and pocket the rest. It's a nice place for a single person without pets in the summer, and if you were only staying Spring-Fall, I would recommend it. Winters and pets, forget it. |
